A structured learning experience designed for research success
Weekly Lectures
Every week, our staff goes through a specific AI/ML topic relevant to research. Topics include literature review methodology, experiment design, statistical analysis, and paper writing.
Recorded Course
All fellows receive access to a comprehensive recorded course covering how research in AI works—conferences, publications, preprints, citations, and rankings—giving you a head start on understanding the research landscape.
Peer Groups
Fellows are matched into peer and mentor hybrid groups based on common interests. These groups facilitate collaboration and culminate in a co-authored paper at the end of the fellowship cohort.
Optional Office Hours
Our staff is available to schedule additional one-on-one meetings and office hours whenever you need extra help with your research, code, or manuscript.
Cohort start dates
Choose the cohort that fits your schedule. Each cohort runs 8-12 weeks with weekly lectures and continuous mentorship.

Merit scholarships
Unlike university-affiliated programs that draw on institutional endowments and departmental funding, Astral Fellows is independently operated. Our budget comes entirely from program tuition, with no university subsidies, grants, or external funding. This means we are currently unable to offer need-based financial aid in a sustainable way. We hope to expand our scholarship offerings as the program grows.
Merit Scholarships
We offer a limited number of merit scholarships open to all applicants, awarded on the strength of your application regardless of financial background. This scholarship is highly competitive and based on demonstrated research potential and academic excellence.
